Thank you to everyone for attending parent teacher conferences! I'm so glad I got to check in with everyone about their student's progress and how we will continue to improve.
Next week, we only have school on Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday, we will be taking the Topic 4 math test. If your student is gone for Thanksgiving break on Tuesday, they will make it up on the Monday they come back.
Have a great Thanksgiving!!
The Pride Stride fundraiser will be this Friday, October 12th! This annual student fitness fundraiser gives the entire Coonley community the chance to make a difference in our school. Our fundraising goal this year is $130,000 for teacher assistants, updated technology equipment, and water bottle filtration stations.
Here's what you can do to help:
Our class will be walking outside from 9:45 - 10:15am.
Thanks for your help!
Please note that last year CPS revised the procedures for volunteers and now requires ALL volunteers to complete an application. To maintain in compliance with CPS, Coonley will require that all volunteers (classroom, field trip, celebration, etc.) have completed an application and are approved by CPS. Please follow the link below to complete your application. You will need to complete an application as a 'Parent/Guardian Volunteer'.
Just a reminder that Open House is tomorrow night from 6:00 - 7:00. Two sessions will be held between those times, the sessions will be exactly the same so you only need to attend one.
Hope to see everyone there!
The first week has been going great so far. Everyone has been such great listeners and direction followers. We have mostly been learning routines of the classroom, getting to know each other and starting to jump into our learning. Just a few reminders for the rest of the week:
- Please remember to turn in all forms from the Meet and Greet, as well as the Chrome Book form that came home yesterday. If you need additional copies of any forms, please let me know.
- A note on how to join Class Dojo was sent home today if you would like to join to see how your student is doing on a daily basis with behavior in class.
- Another note will be coming home soon about our Student of the Week activity that we do in class. I also have the information posted under "Weekly News" on this website.
- Make sure to continue to join my Remind account to get updates regularly.
Finally, I will be compiling all parent emails into a group to be able to send out messages about updates as well. As always, please feel free to contact me with any and all concerns!
It was great to meet so many families yesterday at the meet and greet!! I'm so excited for the year to start on Tuesday. Students should meet in their lines outside by the playlot on Tuesday by 8:30am.
Please return all of the information sheets that were handed out at the Meet and Greet! If you were unable to attend the meet and greet, the information sheets will be coming home with your child on Tuesday. They need to be returned as soon as possible.
Continue to join my Remind Classroom by heading to the "Meet Ms. Clementz" section of the website.
Please feel free to reach out to me via email, email@example.com, if you have any questions, concerns or would like to request a meeting.
Just a reminder about the Meet and Greet on this Thursday, August 30th from 3 - 5pm. Food trucks will be available from 4 - 6 pm. If you are bringing your own supplies, this is a great day to bring them.
Also, please sign up for my Remind messages under "Meet Ms. Clementz". I will be using this service a lot to send out reminders and information!
